Does the treatment kill or repel mosquitoes and ticks?
Both, depending on the option you choose. Our garlic treatment repels mosquitoes and ticks using concentrated garlic juice. Our pesticide treatment kills mosquitoes & ticks on contact which is why we do not spray pollinators or other insect food sources unless absolutely necessary (ticks are present on property).
How often do you need to come?
For peak or seasonal coverage we like to come weekly for our garlic option and every 2 to 4 weeks for our hyrbid option best results. That being said, our plans are fully cutomizable so it is up to you how often you’d like us to come. Mosquitoes and ticks cannot be fully eradicated because of their life cycles, so the goal is to reduce and control the population to a comfortable level.
How do you apply the treatment?
We use backpack sprayers, both gas-powered and hand-pumped to treat around your property where mosquitoes and ticks are most active. That includes dense vegetation, wood piles, low-lying trees, shrubs and mulch beds.
What can I expect before and after a visit?
You will get an email before our visit with simple preparation tips 2 days prior, an additional text the day before, an “on our way text” the day of and a follow-up once the treatment is complete. Communication is important to us! We may also share suggestions to help you naturally prevent mosquitoes and ticks between treatments in your post-treatment follow-up.
Will my whole yard be treated?
That depends on your property. Mosquitoes and ticks usually do not nest in short grass that gets lots of sun. They hide in grass that is tall, damp and shaded, so we focus on those trouble spots rather than blanketing your entire lawn.
Do you guarantee results?
Are the treatments safe for kids and pets?
Yes. Once our treatment has dried, your family and pets can enjoy the yard again. You will be sent an email when we are done notifying you to wait 45-60 minutes from this time.
